THE BEGINNING...

...Once upon a time, to be more exact in the Summer 2004 Angels of the Fight Club decided to create a new Child... They called this one "NEW CAPITAL CITY" and the City was really beautiful. On 20.06.04 or so, after the continuous tests, players were finally able to register in New Capital. This City is unlike the Russian Cities and villages. It has its own aroma and scent. Everything was new and was exciting imagination... Some russian-speaking players went to English FC because they were bored and tired of "injustice" in Russian FC, they came to see something interesting and start a new life. By the time some foreign players began to enter the City and the number of them was increasing ... But to be honest, number of foreign players always was not more than 30% of the whole population in English FC.

TRANSLATION PROBLEMS

First problem Administration faced was the language problem. Lots of information has not yet been translated. But common players helped game developers to translate the item's names, rules, fight logs, everything that has relationship to the written information... As we suspect, the first Paladins were exactly the helpers and translators of English version of the FC. For example, the whole FAQ of FC was translated from Russian into English by two citizens of our City. These were SK8BOI and Screw (later they became Paladins). For a period of time we saw mistakes in the fight logs, forum, shops, almost everywhere. But they were found and fixed. Soon cheat/bug finders enriched the Paladin's rows. Now there are not many Paladins in New Capital, but it's a respected and balanced group of people who are responsible for the order and the law in FC (you can see existing Paladin's list in the Library - Paladin's Guild article).

FIRST PALADINS, DARKS AND NEUTRAL

First Paladin was Kevin Dark (made artificially), then MettaMetta, eL maGo, Eskimoman, Penny, SK8BOI, Screw and Helena became first Paladins. Cheaton, Art21, No Pain No Gain, The_MeTTaJlJlik, xxENDxx, Dark Beast, Natalie and Selecter were first Darks. First Neutral was Hobos. These names are well-known now. Almost all of them had lost or changed their first alignments.

INNOCENT CITY AND TALKS WITH ANGELS

It was decided by the Angels for all to speak only English...And future Paladins were encouraged to look after that and punish those law breakers. Some famous players received a Death spell for using Russian...At that time (beginning of July) only few people had visited the city...And by that time first Paladins and Darks had been granted with the alignments by Angels. This was a beautiful time, when you could speak to Angels in the chat freely. They laughed, cooperated, answered the questions of newcomers and talked to "mortals" in a free way and even told some stories. Usually they were "invisible" and we called them "invisibles" or Angels. Those who were in the Club that time remember stories about "pickles", "magic mushrooms" and story about Merlin who decided to build a new city and had overeaten fungus...In those times there were many people who constantly begged in the chat to the Angels with "Oh dear Angel can you gimme...", "Would you make me Dark/Paladin/Neutral" etc. Even on the Forum of FC there was a very funny topic about "soap opera" devoted to this. Also it was a time of the first creativity in the City - people posted their poetry and stories on the Forum of FC. Dark ones even devoted their works to Dark Angel - Dustman... (You can read some Poetry in the Entertainment section)

TRAVELLING AND GOODS FROM ABROAD

We must say some words about travelling to other cities. First there was no possibility to pass the borders. The target city was Moon City and the first three brave characters: The Evil, SK8BOI, Cheaton went to the new dimension. Interesting that now their destiny isn’t quite as good. Evil was blocked, SK8BOI was a Paladin and now left the Game. Cheaton got Dark alignment, lost it and was blocked... However they were first. The main point of travelling to Moon city was Russian version items, they were stronger and better than English ones at that time. Rules weren't regulated so good, some people received Chaos alignments and got blocked for a black marketing...Reasuming all this we must say there were 2 periods of time when the border to Moon city was open. Some of the New Capital's characters were in Moon City two times, but had been returned by the Angels back to New Capital. Now the border is closed forever. English and Russian will develop apart of themselves...But of course for those who remember it, it was a very exciting and interesting time...Now sometimes you can see Russian items on some players...they're rare and you can't just buy them in the shop.

GETTING MORE EXPERIENCED AS THE ITEMS APPEAR

At the beginning there were not many items in the City and trade wasn't developed at all. People fought each other in fair fights and didn't think about complicated things. They were wearing the items for 1-2 levels and managed to get 5-6 levels, besides the unique staffs with built-in magic available. Hereby they became first mages and sorcerers... It was a fantastic time with simple game-playing and feeling of the game. We must note that in the early times common players even didn't have garlic to protect themselves from the vampires with Dark Alignment (more information about alignments you can find in the Library - Alignments article). There were no strong neither there were weak players, everyone was wearing the same clothes, no matter which level they were... Not very often but steady, Administration began adding new items and pictures of them. Later we saw Sets of items, which look very beautiful indeed. Now there are certain Sets of Items for level 7: DarkSteel Set, Golden Set (this 2 came first in the FC) and now we have Set of Fear and Oblivion Set. This all was for Warriors, but still we must mention about Fire Wind Set for Mages only: boots, robe and a hat. But as we see it's incomplete, looking at 4 previous sets we notice that they have full, 13 items which you can put on. Of course, all 13 items look very cool indeed then are put on (you can see existing items of English FC in our Encyclopedia).

TOWER OF DEATH - NUDE STALKERS AND ARCHIVE KEEPER'S GUARD

Now it's funny to remember those times, but for some time in New Capital there were no items in Tower of Death, people went there and didn't find items in the Tower. Some news lines mentioned that Archives Keeper in English FC became Tower of Death Champion. It was because there were not many high-levels contestants and neutrals in the competitions. After some time Archive's Keeper got [8] level and yet even his Guard: Senior Archives Keeper, Younger Archives Keeper, Archives Keeper Master and their Assistants. Then the fights became more interesting in the Tower of Death. We must mention that in the times when the Borders were opened, and tourist came to City, native citizens of New Capital had no chance against Russian fighters, because of their high-level and experience in contests of Tower of Death. But soon as we know they were teleported back forever and natives received some certain chances.

FIRST ROBOT - FRIENDLY ADVISOR

While playing the game, once we noticed a new Paladin - Advisor. It was on 14th of October. He became responsible to help 0 level characters with their very first steps in the Fight Club. And like many other innovations in both FC (English and Russian) it was firstly invented and tested in New Capital. (Don't try to write privately to him, he won't answer)

FIRST GUILDS AND CONTESTS

Time went by, and people understood that they have to create and open websites and pages where news of the life of New Capital can be told and discussed...First Guild sites and Daily Posts were encountered...The_MeTTaJlJlik and Iaryave the white, No Pain No Gain and Enlightened, Cyjack and As Clear as Water, Laharl and Smile of Rain, -these names I think will be known and remembered because they were First designers and developers... Even Paladin's site got an english translation. And some time after on 11.09.04, first Contest for Free Guild registration was announced on the Forum, and as we know now two neutral Guilds - Clan Killua and The Order of Balance became winners in it.

After that we had the new Contest for Dark Guilds only announced by former Chief Paladin Penny. It took 3 weeks and ended by the 1st of December of 2004. The winner was Guild on the Dark Side. Sites of guilds: The Rise Guild, The Shadowstrangers,Necromancers Guild, Divide et Impera, Guild of Phoenix and Nightwatchers who took part in the contests has ended their existance and are no longer developed, dissolved or came apart.

ARTS AND CREATIVITY

As the time flew, people did creative things in the FC, on the guild sites, at the forum, everywhere. Some wrote stories, some announced little contests, some designed and ran websites, some wrote poetry, some even composed music and made drawings. Of course comparing to the Russian version, English FC is not SO creative. But we must admit, here there are talented people as well. So cheer and respect them for what they've done for English FC (Some of the works are in the Entertainment Section)

FIRST INQUISITOR AND FIRST SUPREME PALADIN OF NEW CAPITAL

There isn’t any player in New Capital who hasn’t heard about Penny - first Inquisitor and Supreme Paladin. He also became first holder of full-artefact complect in the October of 2004. He became famous and important person by working on the Paladin's Guild: blue, yellow, brown, cross of Senior Paladin of the Sky, red cross of Inquisitor and finally Supreme Paladin's Cross - these were his promotions. Now he's not a Paladin anymore. DrWeb is chosen by Angels to wear this hard duty now, and let his rulership be wise, strong and prosperous. Penny wanted our city to become famous and clean, two contests for Guild registration were announced at his time, as many people told, he is a very wise, funny and interesting person. He always helped and gave advises to one who needed it. Unlike the Supreme Paladin of Russian FC, he was easy to find and open for communication. To create our city famous and strong was his dream. He is a certain part of our City's History, and we didn't have a right not to mention him...We remember that was a holiday in FC when he became Supreme Paladin, everybody was proud of it and congratulated him and said warm words to him. Some people still wondering “why did he leave the order?”, but let’s leave to Angels, they decided so, and let it be so. Many people will remember this extraordinary person. He created lots of interesting topics to discuss at, and one of them was "Girl of the Year" Ñontest. At the 25th of December 2004 Penny thanked all people of New Capital and left the game, as the Supreme Paladin blocked him. Everybody wished him best as he left.

STRONGEST WARRIOR OF NEW CAPITAL

DrWeb announced this contest on 03.11.04 and it seems it's not over yet. But of course everybody know, that first native citizen of New Capital who reached 8th level was A1eks3y who did it in the middle of October 2004. Now he's blocked for multi-characters. We think that he should be called the best Warrior of New Capital, because no one of the natives got level 8 before 01.12.03. Also we must mention that he was the first mercenary in New Capital, people could call him in the Fights for some sums of CR. Later we saw more new mercenaries.

CHANGES IN THE GAME - QUICK REVIEW

Changes...Fight Club is constantly changing. I hope you think so too, changes that have been made are positive. Let's look at them. In this part of the story we will tell about changes that we didn't mention:

- English FC has got an Emblem in the beginning of August 2004.

- Encyclopedia of FC has received new images of men and women. At the end of the year it was possible to wear them on.

- Items. At first we had not much of them, but some time later they began to appear more and more. There are so many changes, which we cannot describe in the History. They can be found in the News or in the Encyclopedia.

- New Angels came to the game: Grace[20], Ancencion [20], Master of Fire [21], Lord of Destruction [21].

- Developers made us happy by addind new smiles and also in the November the Design of FC has changed. Very cool looking we must say.

- In the october characters became able to buy Eurocredits from official FC dealer - Cptn. Then players can change 1ECR to 10 CR in the bank. Some people like it, some people don't. But it's a part of the game, the gameplay became more exciting.

NEW YEAR 2005 - DECEMBER GIFTS AND CHANGES

First of all, at the beginning of December 2004 we saw new index page of combats.com with New Year banner on it. After that everyone in New Capital received Santa Klaus bag from russian vs. player -Totti Master, Keeper of December, which enlarged the capacity of backpacks by 200 units. Not many time after that players got an ability to change 10 parameters for free. Also we saw New Year smiles. Everybody in town was delighted by that. But it was just the beginning of Administration innovations and presents...Just after that Totti Master gladden us giving Clone scroll to each player with 10 clones in it. Chaotic and physical fights became more intencive and interesting. After Totti Master went to chaos, Wednesday became the Keeper of December and we started to receive gifts from her since then. Her first present was giving 1CR to everyone. And yes!!! At last New Capital received the New Year Tree with 3 free potions of strenth, agility and perception under it. Potions gave +10 to each parameter. Soon they were taken out, but it was not so sad - we got an option to white a New Year messages on the Tree. Citizens expressed their thoughts, congradulations, and thanked Angels for the game and presents. Then we got scroll of invisibility. Tens of invisibles were joking and fighting... 8th of December was the day of Recovery, in one minute we could restore hundreds of HP. 10th of December was the day of Experiense. People got 150% of experience poits for winning in the fights. Control Clone scroll came after. But everyone had used Clone Scrolls already at all...Also and this is important thing - citizens got an option to rearrange their skills of weaponry and magic unlimited till the New Year date. On the 17th of December new changes have come: now players became able to change their appearances by choosing one from the FC library of men and women images. Also design has changed and almost everything was in Russian, just at once it was fixed. Everybody began to wear new images (appearances). Our dreams came through... At the same day we received another gift from Wednesday - the Christmas Tree with Healing of Minor injuries embedded in it. Soon design has been changed: the HP line became new and we became able to watch others HP without refreshing the info of a character, also we got 3rd pocket and whole 12 slots for spells, besides, we got new buttons: "Save basic item set" , "Take everything off" and "Save as a primary set". Tarkus, after cptn, became official dealer of NC. 18th of December stood as the day of Repaired items - all items in our backpacks became completely new! On 19th of December we saw a spell "Retreat from the battle" in our backpacks, very useful if you don't wanna to take part in the fight. On the 20th of December we got "serious" gift from the Keeper of December - scroll "Healing of Serious injuries", and day after - scroll of Preservation, in other words, scroll raised (saved) from the dead in fights. 22th of December became "day of warriors" - they stroke twice per single round. 25th of December and 2 next days were the "days of old junk selling", the price of all items was as almost as shop's price, Second-Hand shop soon became empty. On 26th of December whole fight system has changed - the experience now differed from who you strike - strong or weak player (more or less), also if Dark One hit Paladin, he'd receice an extra experience. Also everybody got 20% extra experience for wins till 31.12.04.

P.S. On the end of December we still had no presents to make. It was rather sad, because many people here wanted express their feelings to each other. At the end of Year 2004 we became able to buy bunches of bluebells to greet and wish Happy New Year 2005 to each other. Also the 900CR New Year Tree (very powerful second weapon) became available in the Flower Shop.

P.P.S. Still some wait for Great HP Recovery +600 scroll and Bloody Attack scroll, but it's not known if they'll be presented to us.

FIRST LITERATURE, ART & MUSIC CONTEST AND FIGHT CONTEST

First Literature, Art and Music contest in FC was announced by GODS on the 17th of November 2004. Best poem, best story, best critic article, best painter and best musician in the December of 2004 got CR prizes at the end of the year 2004 on 30.12.04. Also on the 15th of December GODS announced the Fight Ñontest for 3-6 levels with whole prize fund of 210 CR! But on the 20th of December the invisible wrote that we have no permission to set up this Fight Tournament at the moment...and the topic was closed by Supreme Paladin.

WISEMAN

In december of 2004 Ugly 3ami4 became a wisest person in New Capital with wisdom of 50, but unluckily, still there were no attacling magic scrolls in Wizard's Shop. Anyway he was blocked for setup-fighs some time after.

NEW YEAR'S DAY

At last New Year's Day has come to New Capital. Some prepared for the holiday in real life, some waited for the holiday in FC. Exciting atmosphere was in the air and everyone waited for the presents and congradulated each other. New Year Candles (embedded spell of Luck) and Toys (embedded spell of Teleport) were given to everyone by Wednesday, Keeper of December. Supreme paladin DrWeb was at the FC at New Years night and we heard his speech and congradulations. Later under the New Year Tree on central we could find the New Year Potion wich increased our fighting and magic skills. Also we got different components of New Year Tree in the Flower Shop to assemble our own Trees: firs, foundation, decorations, candles and lights. It's a pity but without certain flowers we could not be able to assemble any New Year Trees.

FIRST WEDDING IN THE NEW CAPITAL

By the night from 2nd to 3rd of January 2005, HisInfernalMajesty13, being at that time the Paladin of Fiery Dawn, by the power given to him by Angel Creator, has witnessed a marriage between two girls from GODS -Molkosbitch and la Aurora. It became very meaning and important event for small New Capital, lot's of people congradulated young couple and watched the wedding ceremony.

PERSONAL APPEARANCES REBORN

From the January of 2005 we saw new unique personal appearances. They replaced old appearances which were given to some players in Russian FC before. Real Eden, Sanych74, Di Abolo were the first owners at the beginning. People of New Capital still wondered if they will get those someday.

NEW CAPITAL'S SUBURB

At the end of January we found that our little City has it's own Suburb. But we could't go there as there were no tickets at Coach Station. And also we knew that borders of New Capital seemed to be closed for indefinite period of time...but who knows...maybe someday we'll be able to travel again?

MONOPOLIZATION OF SERVICES

As many people know at the end of year 2004 GODS monopolized mercenary service in NC. For instance, Cyjack , The Medved, la Aurora, No Pain No Gainand interefered in fights very often. But on 06.02.05 about 500 Scrolls of minor healing were sold out at once from Wizards shop. Three monopolists were S-e-T, Trollkarl, and EskimoMan. Prices on healing soon raised up.

BUG OR A FEATURE?

From February till nowadays people of NC are able to attack each other 24/7 on Central Sq., Scarecrow St., and after some time - at Waterfalls. In Russian FC this time was limited and depended on certain city. Also, and we can't miss it, there was a time Formula 1 Racing in Tower of death, people moved through rooms without any delay )). But soon second bug (or a feature) was fixed by programmers of FC. On 19.02.04 we saw new scrolls in Wizard's Shop - Circuits of Healing. The peculiarity of a new spell was that one or more healers could cure the injured character.

NEW NAVIGATION SYSTEM

On 18.02.05 we faced new navigation system with new rose of directions. "18.02.05 22:10 Attention! There will be a change in navigation system. Please don't panic!" system message was. At first it was strange but some time after we appreciated new changes and got used to them.

NEW BRAND LOOK OF ARCHI AND PUNISHMENT FOR CHAOS-WEARERS

On 26.02.04 Archives Keeper got new personal image at last. It was made like men's and women's new images. Also some time after chaos alligned people from that moment were not be able to enter TOD tournaments at all. It was some kind of punishment for those who broke the laws of FC.

CHESS TOURNAMENT

Some time in February 2005 some characters had been challenged each other in chess for free. But On 28.02.05 Enlightened created a topic with proposal to contest him in Chess Game for prizes. yalex has become a winner.

SAD SAD WOMEN HOLIDAY

It was told that New Year presents were kind of contradictory. We got presents but we couldn't create New Year Trees... On 8th of March all girls of FC got their presents from Administration - Chaplets. They differed from allignments and levels: Dark Beauty Chaplet, Light Beauty Chaplet, Neutral Beauty Chaplet, Simple Beauty Chaplet, Beauty Chaplet (for others). But it was pity, they just COULDN'T WEAR them on. Then the bug was fixed, almost all of them fade away...

WATERFALLS

On 12.03.05 some stalkers found a new location to the left from Central Square - Waterfalls. What a beauty it was! People could rest from the fights and talk in Summer-house, Pavilion or Pergola.

STRANGE DEAL

It was a lot of rumors and talks about Artifact Ring - Ring of Life, as still there's not much artifacts in New Capital yet. So, somehow, and its still a mystery, CLoud NuMber NinE, last holder of the only artefact Ring of Life, that was presented by Creator to Cheaton, has sold it to former Supreme Paladin - DrWeb.

FISRT PHOTO-REPORT FROM FC JUBILEE

On 18.03.05 members of GODS and some people from NC who lived in Moscow went to 3 year jubilee of Russian FC. GODS prepared and posted a big photo-report (part 1 , part 2) on the site about this holiday. It was very interesting to photoshoot and chat with other Russian Guild members and people. Everything was cool - songs about FC, drinks, fight imitations at the scene, contests with prizes, famous people, lots of fun and relaxation. But one thing was obvious and sad - the dance-club "Zona",'s rooms were too overcrowded, as there were hundreds and hundreds of people who didn't come to the party because of small club's capacity. A little bit later in Fight Club characters began to get special cards for winning in group fights with bonuses - "Fighter", "Brave Fighter". There were 7 different of them, but in NC some could achieve only first 2 ones.

NEW SET FOR 8TH LEVELS

On 21.03.05 Set of Wanderer appeared in the state shop of New Capital. Trollkarl was the first tester of it and told its bonuses to people on forum. By that time there were pretty much of 8th level characters in NC, so people started to wait for new Sets of items for high-levels.

FC CALENDAR AND FIRST WALLPAPER CONTEST

In the end of March 2005 Apocalypsis Guild made their own FC calendar, where on it's pages art-works of different FC guilds placed. There you can find works of Lawyers, BBoys, Family, Guild of Paladins, GODS, alkahest, BOR, Mercenaries, Undertakers, WheelWarriors and ADF. GODS presented their page in it which can be seen in Downloads section. Also Head of GODS Guild, Cyjack, won in a contest held by Order of Paladins (announced by Go Mad for Bananas) with his wallpaper work.

ATTACK ON MAGES IN TWO EPISODES. POTIONS AND BATTLE-SYSTEM

During March 2005, came the end of Mage's Era in English FC. Warriors got some chances against mages. From that time on fight were more and more balanced.

Episode 1. Anti-magic potions appeared in the wizard's shop of NC: Elixir of Seas, Elixir of Sands, Elixir of Flames, Elixir of Wind (which gave a 50% resistance to due magic for 2 hours). Mages started to hit with less power and used more spells.

Episode 2. New battle-system. From that time warriors could use bonuses from their hits, otherwise mages couldn't use whole maneuvres, only defensive ones.

FOOL'S DAY FLOWERS AND JOKE SPELLS

On the 1st of Aprill 2005 all characters could buy new flowers in the Flower Shop: Rubber Plants and Cactus. Cactus was better than 2 level weapons (20-25 damage from Cactus) and sometimes gave a magic strike from it's needles. Also Joke Spells appeared: Easy Shock, Superman's Scroll, Fine Draw, Sick Humor, Friendly Joke. They were harmless but very funny - look! (Sick Humor)

FRIENDS BUTTON AND DESTINY

Another changes had come in April 2005: Friends Button and Destiny Sign in Repair Shop. Friends button allowed to mark up to 20 characters as your friends and you began to get system message when your friend came on-line. Also we saw list of friends on-line in Friend's Menu. In Repair Shop it was available to fit your armor (raise HP level). More level character was, more HP he could gain. (7th level item + 48 HP). The item also was destined with owner by common fate - you just could'n sell it to others, only in the Shop.

SECOND MARRIAGE IN NEW CAPITAL

Second marriage has happened on 08.04.05 - Go Mad for Bananas and Ellara had been witnessed before the altar by Terex. There were lots of presents and good celebration of this event.

TIC-TAC-TOE TOURNAMENT

Newly married Go Mad for Bananas has decided to promote a new tournament - Tic Tac Toe Contest for money prize and any engraved weapon from Supreme Paladin. In this fight Ellara became the winner.

SUNRISE FOR 8TH LEVELS

On 25th of April we saw a new item - Sunrise Amulet. It gave +85 to anti-critical defence and to dodging. Soon it became very popular in Russian FC (people could buy it through Eurocredit Store).

SPECIALITIES AND MANEUVRES

After continuous tests and internal server problems we received Maneuvres and Specialities (non-combatant abilities). For instance, by raising Sturdy Speciality to 5 level your HP raised 30% faster, raising Provident Speciality enlarged your back up to 50 on level 5. Amount of raisings differed from character level.

KING IS DEAD...HAIL TO THE KING!

On 09.05.05 Second Supreme Paladin of New Capital City - DrWeb has lost his Cross and artifacts. People of our city had been waiting for new Supreme for about a month and a half at City's Birthday point (20.06.05). After some time in May 2005 Supreme Paladin of Russian FC - Jetkokos had visited City and told people about soon changes in game.

I SHOT THE SHERIFF...

In June 2005, after some negative tendencies on Central Square and other places, it was decided to create list of Sheriffs in New Capital - 3 representatives from Order of Light and from GODS: Terex, HisInfernalMajesty13, Bianconeri, The Medved, crsh, Cyjack.

PUBLIC LETTER OF PALADINS TO ADMINISTRATION

In order to draw attention of Administration to the situation in New Capital, Paladins of New Capital wrote a Public Letter to people of FC and developers of the Club. Respond from Master of was: "Technical works in this city will be carried out according to the schedule. No events can speed or delay their beginning."

HACKED

After Official Paladin's Site, killua's Guild Site was hacked. It's useful for you to read Security article and Security FAQ if you don't want to lose your character.

REFERENCE OF GUILD'S MEMBERS AT CITY'S ONE YEAR BIRTHDAY
